Homes of Portland's Golden Age Walking Tour (2 hours)-   Portland is a great walking city full of historic neighborhoods and interesting architecture.  Get up close and personal – the only way to really see things.  

9320highfront.jpgEnjoy a docent walking tour of Portland's Golden Age (1800 - 1860):  Elegant Federal mansions, Greek Revival residences, and Italianate homes grace the Portland's Golden Age Tour, which highlights the Spring Street Historic District, once home to Portland's leading merchants and entrepreneurs. Glimpse the more personal side of the city's history and architectural development as you pass sweeping church façades, magnificent residences, and fine examples of compatible 20th century design in an area which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1971.  For more information about the Greater Portland Landmarks visit http://www.portlandlandmarks.org/    Lunch is on your own.  Tour departs from Departs from Holiday Inn By at10 AM.
